Need Big Parts Fast?
We have the capacity
We feel your pain.
Demand for large injection-molded parts is growing.
It’s hard to find U.S. injection molders with available capacity on their large-tonnage presses. They tend to fill up fast!
At ICOMold by Fathom, we have a wide range of presses available, from 20 tons to 1,800 tons. That means we can produce parts up to 30 x 30 in. Now – not in 6 months, when press time finally becomes available!
We have the speed
Our entire business is optimized for speed. From the world’s only 30-second injection molding quote system to our rapid tooling capabilities, we can deliver sample parts in as little as 15 days.
If you need parts fast, rapid molding or quick molds are an excellent option. Rapid injection molds are less expensive molds that can be built much faster than standard production molds. They’re ideally suited for simple designs and small production runs.
We have the cost advantage
ICOMold by Fathom has injection molding facilities in the United States and China. This gives us a worldwide reach and presents customers with a powerful way to save money during the manufacturing process.
ICOMold can leverage our manufacturing capabilities on a global scale to keep costs low while maximizing turnaround and production times – up to 25% less than competing molders!
ICOMold’s partner injection molding facilities in China operate at the same high standard as our stateside facilities. We use high-quality, pre-hardened steel in every single mold that we make, whether your injection molding is done in China or the United States.
How do I know what size press I need?
A general rule of thumb for calculating the machine tonnage necessary for your project is: For example, a 3 x 6 in. phone case in standard flow material would require at minimum a 54-ton press.
A high melt flow material requires a 2x multiplier, a stand flow flow material requires a 3x multiplier and a low melt flow material requires a 4x multiplier. Consult the material datasheet for material viscosity and/or melt flow.
We have secondary processes
Are you looking for ways to simplify your supply chain? We can handle secondary services like these to eliminate steps from your manufacturing process:
