Lower Pricing, New Options in CNC Machining Quotes

We’re pleased to announce the addition of two new options in our online quotation system for plastic CNC machining projects. The new dropdown menus allow you to specify more options for your parts.

In the first new dropdown, you can specify whether or not your part will be exposed to relatively high loads or pressure. The answer to this will help determine the performance characteristics required, which may dictate the manufacturing method, and therefore your cost. For example, in one case a “show piece” could be manufactured in a way that saves you money, whereas if it is a prototype part that needs to stand up to the same functional conditions as your production parts will, we will make sure it is manufactured to withstand the same load or pressure.

Also, you can now specify secondary processes for your CNC machined plastic parts right in the quote request screen. For example, you can specify to have painting or silk screening added to your parts, and your quote will include the secondary process.

And last but not least, we’ve revised our pricing to better reflect quantity break discounts, so you will now get a lower piece price on higher part quantities.
